I followed strict instructions to do our sourdough starter from scratch. My daughter, who is currently obsessed with dragons and all things magic, and who served as my assistant, debated many names but ultimately chose…Albus Dumbleloaf. 🧙♂️
Before you go, tell me what your passion is? What are the things that bring you joy in your life? I really do want to know. I would love to tailor future articles to what I hear here!
Yes yes yes! When you get married, you’re doing so without complete information: who that person will be in one, five, fifth years. Not only is it ok to change and grow it should be encouraged! I have had these exact same thoughts about running and writing and come to the conclusion that those are the things that make me me. And I need to feel like me to show up for my family in the best way possible.
The post I needed this morning! I literally just had the epiphany that I have been gatekeeping my own dreams this whole time. Pivot. Change. Move! Also, I love the line about taking yourself seriously and then others will. Also! Per your post a while ago, I've woken up early for the past 4 days to write and I am so tired, but proud. Thanks for this!
Wow. I hadn't thought much about the inequality between women's goals/dreams and men's before, but I have definitely seen it.
Luckily, hubby knew I was a writer before we got married and has been pretty supportive of how much of my time it takes. Running was another story! I definitely had to fight for my time while half-marathon training, and even now, some 15 years or so after taking it up, still have to fight for my running time sometimes, even though it is before anyone else in the house is up.
I feel like it's so hard to fit in those runs. Good for you for making it happen! But yeah I do feel like there is a lot of inequality. It's like we have to defend our right to do these things where as men just go do them.
I love to read book s i also love to run.Especially when I travel to different races all over the country. My.
Favorite things to do to get early in the morning when I'm close to a beach and I can take a long run as the Sun comes up. I join the simple things in life. Because I've been through a lot in life.
Every decade I do something I wanted to do I started this when I was a very young teenager on a book call passage. So every decade I do something different and it's been a really learning experience. I'm never afraid to change because every time I change I get better what I want to do. In my fifties I just thought I was gonna become a runner. In my 60s, I started to transitioning out of cooking.I've done it for forty five years at this point. I became more involved in my running and now I'm doing travel. I also travel alone. And I think I like this better. This is a fun world. I'm going into and also have a part-time. Job women have a right to be who they want to be. Don't be afraid, just go do it. That's my motive.. Life is too short to worry about what anybody thinks about you.Just I don't care this is me

Such a wise post. Here’s to claiming the time…
Thanks Karen!
Love this! I’ve just given myself permission to walk away from 20 years in banking to find what makes me happy. You said just what I needed to hear. 💗
That's amazing Kim! Congratulations!
